Try our demo course

This blog is brought to you by Drone Class, your drone trainer for flying in the open and specific category.

Drone Class offers you the online course for A2. In the Meteorology demo version, you can familiarize yourself with our way of providing online training.

A2 course

The course for the addional certificate A2 and the exam are only necessary if you need to fly a non-Cx-marked drone weighing between 500 grams and 2 kilograms in built-up areas. This is relevant for unmanned aircraft like the DJI Mavic 2, Mavic Air 2S and Phantom 4.

Content

In the drone class course for the EU remote pilot certificate there will soon be three content modules to learn:

  • General knowledge of UAS II
  • Meteorology
  • Operational procedures II

Each module consists of several slides with practice questions. You can follow the slides at your own pace on your own device. After these three modules, you can take a practice test to prepare for the A2 online exam.

Meteorology

The most extensive module within A2 is Meteorology. In our demo version you will learn something about various weather phenomena such as temperature, air pressure, wind and clouds. All of these aspects come together in METAR. This is an up-to-date aviation weather observation created by a meteorologist or weather station.

What does the Drone Class course include?

The A2 course includes the course for A1-A3. So you always get two courses for the price of one! If you have not already taken an A1-A3 course, you can also complete it with us. All courses can be followed in British-English.

In addition, you can download a practical reference book with the most important drone rules. You can ask us questions about the content by e-mail or in our excellent digital learning environment "Online Learning".

Finally, after you passed the exam, you fill out our formular for a practical self-declaration by the pilot and finally you can fly subcategory A2 drones.
