Which drones have a Cx label?

This blog is brought to you by Drone Class, your drone trainer for flying in the open and specific category.

In 2024, the full European law and regulations for drones will go into effect. From then on, the Cx label will determine where you can fly your drone. There are already a number of drones on the market that possess such technical certification. This article lists all Cx-label drones.

What is the advantage of a Cx-label drone?

From January 2024, European legislation will change. From then on, all drones without a Cx label over 250 grams will automatically fall into subcategory A3. You will then have to maintain a minimum distance of 150 metres from uninvolved people, buildings, industry and recreational areas with these drones.

The Cx label means that the drone has been approved against mandatory European safety requirements. As these drones have been found safe, you are allowed to fly with them in the EU.

Drones with Cx label

A drone with Cx label will have many advantages from 2024. For example, you re allowed to fly a C0, C1 and C2 label drone in built-up areas. Also, drones from the C1 label onwards meet the new Remote ID requirement.

If you want to buy a new drone, it is advisable to buy a drone with Cx label. This is even mandatory in the EU from 1 January 2024.

Here is a current list of all Cx-labelled drones:
