Drone laws France
Are drones allowed in France?
Yes — France follows the EU drone regulation (2019/947). You need the EU Drone License (from 250 g) and an operator registration via AlphaTango. Note the French extras: night flying is not allowed in the open category, drones over 800 g need an additional French registration and electronic ID beacon, and flying over public space in built-up areas is prohibited. Check the Géoportail drone map before you fly.
