New release: DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise

DJI is releasing an Enterprise and Thermal edition of the Mavic 3 for the business market. Compared to the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise (Advanced), a number of improvements have been made.

Mavic 3

Almost a year ago already, the new flagship Mavic 3 was released by DJI. As with the Mavic 2, it was expected that there would be additional editions. DJI has met these expectations with two separate devices: DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise and DJI Mavic 3 Thermal.

DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise

This unit comes with:

• 4/3" CMOS Wide camera (20 Mega Pixels)
• 12 Mega Pixels Zoom camera (8x digital; 56x hybrid zoom)

The zoom camera has been improved over the Mavic 2 Enterprise.

DJI Mavic 3 Thermal

This device also has an RGB camera and zoom camera on board:

• 1/2" CMOS Wide camera (48 Mega Pixels)
• 12 Mega Pixels Zoom camera (8x digital; 56x hybrid zoom)

The DJI Mavic 3 Thermal is equipped with an additional camera, namely a thermal imaging camera (640 x 512 pixels). This infrared camera offers up to 28x digital zoom. This is another improvement.

Differences between the two devices

The Thermal lets you take 48 Mega Pixels photos and thermal images. The Enterprise does not offer this, but is a lot cheaper. This device is interesting for inspections and mapping, among other things, when combined with the right accessories.

Obstacle detection

Both the Mavic 3 Enterprise and the Mavic 3 Thermal are equipped with wide-angle lenses on all sides for obstacle avoidance without blind spots.

What accessories are included?

Speaker

The speaker module can be used to support communication. Pre-recorded messages can be sent from the pilot app to the speaker.

RTK module and RTK mobile station

Thanks to RTK, positioning via GPS, for example, becomes much more accurate. The RTK module supports RTK networks. DJI is also releasing its own RTK mobile station. This is a dedicated GNSS receiver, providing real-time corrections with centimetre-level positioning data for improved relative accuracy.

DJI RC Pro Enterprise controller

Both aircraft can be controlled with the new DJI RC Pro Enterprise controller. A portable remote control with a 1000-nit screen, offering high brightness for clear visibility in direct sunlight. It also has a built-in microphone and support for 4G networks. The controller can be charged in 1.5 hours.
