Who needs this license?
Any drone pilot who flies drones of 250 grams and over and who also wants to operate in built-up areas (max. 2 kilos) in the open category. With the EU Drone License, you can fly in the EU, Switzerland, Iceland and Norway.
How long does it take?
On average, the online course and exams take 4–8 hours. You can study at your own pace and finish within 1 day if you wish.
What does it cost?
The A1-A3 course is €99 (incl. VAT) and includes your online exam. After passing, you’ll pay a €20 fee for your official EASA certificate.
How are the exams done?
All exams are online and can be taken from home, whenever you are ready.
Is the exam difficult?
No. The training prepares you step by step. Over 95% of our students pass, and you can re-take the exam for free if needed.
Are there any admission requirements?
No requirements for the A1-A3 training. For the A2 training you must have obtained the A1-A3 certificate.
Can I start right away?
Yes. As soon as you sign up, you get direct access to the course and exams online.
Do I need a drone already?
No. Many students get their certificate first before buying a drone. That way, you’re ready to fly legally from day one.
Will I receive the certificate digitally?
Yes, you will receive each certificate as a digital PDF document issued by the authority (RDW) in the Netherlands.
How long is it valid?
Your certificate is valid for 5 years throughout Europe. Renewal is possible before it expires. The minimum age to apply is 16 years (in the Netherlands).
