Who needs this refresher?

The refresher is required for anyone who has a valid certificate issued by the Netherlands and wants to renew it on time.

My current certificate is not issued by the Netherlands?

If your current A1-A3, A2 or STS certificate is issued by another country than the Netherlands, you have to follow the refresher in the country that issued your current certificate. That country is the competent authority.

Why is this so important?

Only a competent authority may issue certificates. Drone Class is a certified flight school from the Netherlands. Issued certificates are therefore from the Dutch authorities.

How long does it take?

On average, the online course and exam take 3 hours. You can study at your own pace and finish within one day if you wish.

What does it cost?

The refresher costs 99 euros (incl. VAT) for A1-A3 and A2. This includes the online exam and free resits. Application costs are 20 euros for the certificate and you pay this amount to us after passing the exam.

How is the exam done?

The exam is online and can be taken from home, whenever you are ready.

How long is it valid?

Your renewed certificate is valid for 5 years throughout Europe. The minimum age to apply is 16 years (in the Netherlands).

"Dissatisfied with the experience, pricing and customer support. The course makes it seem like its great and interactive but its just slides… The pricing changes all the time depending on the day you visit the site and when you do complete the course, you are surprised with another 20 EUR fee just to purchase your certificate. Why isn’t the certificate included in the price of the course? When I contacted support asking for a refund, I am told that it is mentioned in the T&Cs. Of course it’s buried there. But they also state it is on the product page. . hidden in an FAQ dropdown as usual with these kind of sites. I urge anyone thinking of doing a course with them to seek elsewhere. Terrible business practice. I would almost give my certificate back to do it elsewhere. Do no use this site."

Old Man, New knowledge!!!

"I am a 57 years old man, know a lot, been around the world, and have loads of experiences! But. . . . . i was still able to learn something new! I did on my age the A1-A3 and the A2 course and exams on ONE DAY! This says A LOT! The course is that clear, that it motivates you to go on! Although i promised myself to calm down. . . i had time enough to do it after all . . . . . once started i couldn't stop anymore! So? . . . Is this a good sign or not? If I can do it. . . then why not you? Right? Totally worth the money, and highly recommended!"
